Rohit breaks record for most ODI sixes in a calendar year

India captain Rohit Sharma has become the batter with the most sixes in a calendar year, surpassing the previous record set by South African AB de Villiers in 2015. Sharma's 59th maximum of the year, overtaking the previous record of 58 set by South African AB de Villiers in 2015. His exceptional batting skills have placed him ahead of renowned players like Chris Gayle and Shahid Afridi. Rohit has also become the captain with the most sixes in a single World Cup edition, surpassing the previous record of 22 set by England's captain, Eoin Morgan, in 2019.
