US Senator grills TikTok CEO over his 'Chinese connection'

TikTok's CEO Chew Shou Zi testified alongside the CEOs of Discord, Meta, and Snap before US lawmakers over concerns about social media's impact on children. Senator Tom Cotton grilled Chew about his ties to China, asking about his citizenship and membership in the Chinese Communist Party. Chew, a Singaporean citizen, denied having any other citizenship or party affiliation.
